Cyclone 360 watt kit--

The 360 watt kit is your best choice for low cost and maximum range on level ground or low to medium grades. Because it uses the bike's rear gears, this 360w motor will outperform hub motors of equal or larger size. Under typical conditions, the 360 watt motor can drive 20" folding bikes up to 20 mph and 26" bikes at 25+ mph on level ground. At crusing speeds, the motor will draw about 10-15 amps so it can be powered with relatively small batteries.

Using 2 of our 12v 20 Ahr SLA batteries with this kit we have been able to average about 20 miles (level ground no pedaling). With our 24v 20Ahr LiFePo4 battery we have gone up to 35 miles (level ground no pedaling). In our tests, the average speed was maintained between 13 and 18mph. Higher speeds and/or hilly terrain will reduce range from 20% to 50%.

The kit is easily mounted on most diamond frame bikes with the supplied mounting hardware.

Cyclone 500 watt kit--

The Cyclone 500 watt kit is the performance champion. By using your bike's gearing it can climb steep hills, accelerate faster and achieve higher cruising. The 500 watt motor will drive 20" folding bikes up to 21 mph and 26" bikes at 27+ mph on level ground. At crusing speeds, the motor will draw about 15-20 amps and when accelerating and climbing it can draw up to 35 amps. The 500 watt motor performs best when coupled with our high performance20Ah 24V LifePo4 battery. With this battery we have gone over 40 miles on level ground at average speeds of 15-18mph. Higher speeds and/or hilly terrain will reduce range from 20% to 50%.

In order to achieve maximum performance from our 500 watt motor, you must use a battery that is capable of supplying sufficient current. Using batteries that are too small will give poor climbing, slow top speeds, shorter range and may damage the motor controller.

The kit is easily mounted on most diamond frame bikes with the supplied mounting hardware.
